Book Tour Recap

Posted on

Well, the first of two book tours is finished. It was pretty successful. We’re excited to bring the noise for this second tour, and we can promise a lot more interesting and fun posts. We’ve made a point of not repeating ourselves in the Q&A process, too! So with that in mind, here are the last few posts … including our “review” of the reviews.

A nice review - From Christy’s Cozy Corners. Great comments, too.

Another review – From Why Not? Because I Said So! Interesting take on the violence …

A five-star review – With a caveat … Lots of typos? Still curious about that one. I thought we nailed most of them, but we sure would love help in pointing them out.

A four-star review – Interesting and very thoughtful.

Some thoughts:

About half the reviews were in-depth enough to really impress. Even the last one, which misspelled Sam Grayle’s name, was impressive. And who are we to judge a little typo? Apparently, The Grimm Chronicles is still suffering from them. We need to figure out where … that’s the issue. We’ll get there. It just takes some time.

More dispatches from the virtual book tour …

The LUV’NV Blog – A review. A nice review, too.

My Book Chest - A 3-star review. It has its merits.

An excerpt – Plus a link for the giveaway.

Tammy Ann Books – A 4-star review. I don’t know why, but I like this review better than the 3-star one, heh heh heh.

An Interview – I discuss difficult characters and the perfect cup of coffee!

More to come yet! Just a few more days left of this blog, and there are a couple more surprises in store.

Virtual Book Tour Continued!

OK, I forgot to mention yesterday’s …. but here are links to 3 reviews that popped up today:

Read to My Heart’s Content – A nice site overall, too!

Vonnie’s Reading Corner – Oops! The reviewer calls Alice “Alex.” I think, personally, that Alice might get a little miffed if someone kept calling her by the wrong name. But then she would forgive the person and say something like “Well … no harm, no foul.” Plus, it’s a positive review.

Sher a Heart – My favorite review so far. Mentions the positives and the negatives, which I really appreciate. I’m going to put out a special note in the comments section.

Virtual Book Tour: Day 4!

More stops. A couple interviews. We tried to mix things up to make every interview interesting and unique …

Interview at Curling up with a Good Book. We talked inspirations, favorite characters, and the origin of the first title.

Short review and a short guest post at Ficticious Musings. Ken answered the question of what makes this series unique. It was a blast to write.

Another interview. We discuss negative reviews, characters, and personal mentors. Oh, there’s also a review at the bottom.

Virtual Book Tour – Day 3!

Four more stops today! Wow, I’m tired. OK that’s a complete lie–these were done in advance, thus saving my brain from exploding.

An interview – This one’s pretty in-depth. I talk about which book ending I would most like to change and my favorite fictional character of all time. Great questions, lots of fun.

A Promo – Small. Just mentions the giveaway. But it’s fun to read the comments sections sometimes.

Another interview – Different questions. I talk mostly about myself. Also, I try to provide a couple tips on how to make it as a writer.

A review – Another fan is born! Hooray!

Well, that’s it. More to come tomorrow!

Virtual Book Tour – Day 2

Well, we’re on day two of the virtual book tour! More great links and interesting tidbits coming your way!

Why I decided to write YA fiction – This is a guest post on Freebooksdaily.com that also includes a giveaway promotion for the book. I talk a little bit about the history of The Grimm Chronicles.

Another Link for a giveaway – Also, a small review blurb. The diagnosis? “Recommended.” we’ll take it!

An excerpt from Book 2 – A little excerpt from Happily Never After. The dreams are intensifying, and the rats are getting spookier! Wooooooo

More to come tomorrow …

Book 6 is out now!

Don’t get too scared, but I think Alice is definitely in over her head!

Three dead Corrupted. Three mysterious golden coins. What is their purpose? Alice must find out, and in order to do so, she will need to use all of the skills she’s learned so far. She cannot fail. Failure means a fate worse than death.

Agnim the Mage haunts her dreams, using his terrible black magic to plague Alice with nightmares. Once a character in the Grimms’ fairy tales, his magical powers have stronger and stronger the more Corrupted he has become. He has foreseen a cataclysmic event that could mean the end of the world, and only the hero stands in his way. But in order to stop him, Alice will have to find him. And soon. Before Agnim steals her sanity and destroys her mind.

Agnim knows her weakness. He knows her fears. He controls her dreams. He is the most dangerous Corrupted Alice has ever faced. There is no guarantee she can defeat him.

In these trying times, only one thing is certain:

The Golden Dragon will awaken.

This book also contains the following Grimms’ Fairy Tales:
– The Thief and His Master
– The Golden Goose
– The Mouse, the Bird and the Sausage
